Ambrose has been the closest thing my wife Haleigh and I have had to a child for the last 8 years of my active duty service. From California, to Japan, and back to California he has touched the lives of everyone he has been around.

On Monday, May 20th, he became very ill and by Tuesday morning it became clear that he had to be taken to the emergency vet. Since then, we have been to an emergency vet, our own vet, and now he is with an internal medicine specialist and in critical condition. This team has been trying to understand why he can no longer walk, eat, or be his normally bubbly self. While we have finally found, after many tests and tears, that he has an infection/abscess of unknown origin on his back leg, we now face surgery and hopefully a quick recovery.

We have exhausted our $10,000 pet insurance with additional $5,000 from our savings and are facing a minimum $10,000 more for his surgery and recovery.

We hate to ask for anything, ever, but we want so desperately to give our boy the comfort and relief he deserves after the 8 years of love and comfort he has given to us, more specifically my wife who has had nothing but him the many years I was deployed. Anything can help and we are so grateful for all the support through this time.
