My daughter Amber is a Single Mom of Four and has been sick for quite some time. In 2014 at 36 years old she was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and had her entire colon and most of her rectum removed. She had a colostomy bag for several years. She has had four more surgeries and is facing more. She has been in and out of the hospital and ER over and over again.
She has now been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS), PTSD, Severe Anxiety and Depression. She is on many medications.
Also, she may now have a Tumor on her Pituitary Gland, we are waiting for a referral for an MRI. And she now has an additional Fistula from her rectum to her bladder and has had TEN UTI/Bladder infections this year, which antibiotics do not cure. So surgery for the new Fistula is in her future.
She has applied for Social Security Disability, she has been out of work for over a year now. As is the norm, she was turned down for SSDI and just had her second appeal, this time before a Judge. Her lawyer is very hopeful that this time there will be a Ruling in her Favor. The Judge said it would take 6-8 weeks to Rule on the case and if he rules in her favor, it will take 5-6 months, before she receives any Money and Medicare.
As we have exhausted all avenues of Financial assistance, including personal assets, state assistance, help from family etc. The well has run dry, and here we are.
Amber needs help for the next 6 months or more, so she doesn't loose her home, car, everything she has worked so hard for as a Single Mom.
She needs help with her monthly bills just to survive, and then there is the Medical debt.
It has always been a struggle, but now Help Is Urgently needed.
