Hi y’all!

My name is Amari K. Jones, and I’m a filmmaker based in Atlanta, GA. I’m raising funds for my proof of concept—a tv series I hope to pitch to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and other major streaming platforms.

For years, I’ve poured into my own work, funding projects like my short film "Mechanical Pencil" entirely out of my pocket. But this is my biggest endeavor yet, and for the first time, I’m reaching out to my community for support.

My story, Total Praise, follows Black students at an HBCU as they prepare for their Homecoming gospel concert. This proof of concept takes us straight to church.

It's a love letter to my first love, Jesus Christ, and to growing up in the Black Southern church. It bridges the world of college life and faith, capturing that delicate season where Christ is needed most—the transition from youth to adulthood.

And this is just one slice of a larger college series I’ve been developing with other writers. There’s a whole world in this college universe waiting to be told.
