Join Amanda's Journey Through Cancer

Hey Everyone, I would I love to be able to raise a some money to help lighten the burden for Amanda, she is an amazing single mom who never asks for help even when it is absolutely needed. She has ALWAYS made a way for herself and her daughter. I am hoping to help make that burden while going through treatment for cancer just a little less stressful.

Below is a little bit of what Amanda is currently going through I got from her Facebook post

I received my pathology results and confirmed I have invasive carcinoma in my breast that has spread to my axillary lymph nodes. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow morning and will have a better idea of what I'm up against.

I was diagnosed with stage 3, triple positive breast cancer.I will need to undergo 18 weeks of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, there are many tumors in my breast and I would not benefit from a lumpectomy. I will need a masectomy. Following that procedure, I will get radiation and hormone therapy.

I will have a mediport placed for intravenous administration and will begin chemotherapy on the 11th. I am HER2+(explained in the link) which makes this aggressive as these cells multiply rapidly. BUT there is highly successful targeted treatment for this specifically, that aids in preventing cells from regenerating and lowering reoccurrence in the future. I will receive this intravenously as well, for a year.

I am under the care of TGH Breast Cancer Center and have received the most phenomenal care.
