Amanda Therrien, a Willsboro Central School graduate, was diagnosed with stage four Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in April of 2024. This type of cancer starts in the milk ducts, and unfortunately has spread to her lymph nodes. Although this is the most common type of breast cancer, Amanda will have to undergo three to five months of radiation, followed by chemotherapy. She will most likely have to have a mastectomy following treatments.

Amanda is a wonderful mom of four beautiful children, Casey (13), Piper (4), Gabriella (4) and Bristol (2). She and her children currently reside in Lewis, NY and Amanda can be seen working at Denton's Bear Necessities also located in Lewis. Many of you may remember Amanda for her many years of employment at the Village Meat Market in Willsboro as well as Bub's Pizza and Deli in Elizabethtown, NY.

Although her insurance will cover most costs associated with treatments, Amanda has a very long road ahead. Regular trips to Burlington, VT will be inevitable as she is treated by oncologists at The University of Vermont Medical Center. We started this fundraiser to help offset costs associated with her treatment, but to also help her make memories with her four young children.
