We are Grass is Greener Sanctuary run by Amanda Saya, Shawn Stascheit and Emily Garcia. We are long-time lovers of animals. Whether it's rescuing them owning them or working with them at other sanctuaries and rescues. If you've ever met us, you know that animals are our life. We have found over the years that animal abandonment in rural areas is simply getting worse. While we try to take in those that we can, know that those around us also try, it is impossible to do so without the appropriate facilities and funding. There are other organizations but they're also being overwhelmed. We have a large need in our community to help alleviate this problem. We are partnering up with local businesses, veterinarians, and community services to create an animal rescue and sanctuary for our community. Our goals are to save these innocent animals who have been left with nothing, in addition to serving our community with a solution for this widespread issue. We hope that through this we can engage our community through charitable acts, fellowship and inclusivity. We are currently in the process of procuring a location and establishing our non-profit. ALL funds provided to us will be going to the facility, medications, equipment and of course the animals!
