Hi, my name is Alyssa Davis. I am a 16 year old Junior in high school. I’ve played school volleyball for my whole high school career so far and am currently in my 4th season of competitive club volleyball. I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs with this sport and to be honest, sometimes it amazes me that I stuck with it. Over time I have realized how much volleyball means to me and how much it has impacted me these last 4 years. I've come to the realization that I can’t live without it. It brings me peace, a sense of competition that I crave, and it, over anything, has been my therapy during tough times in my life. Throughout my time playing sports, different situations have made me doubt my abilities and question myself and my love of the game. My confidence has been broken, built back up, and broken again. Until now. Back in November I attended a college recruiting prospect camp and had the opportunity to meet and learn from numerous college coaches from around the country. These camps travelled all around the US and chose a team of top prospects from different states to form an international team. I have the amazing opportunity to go to Italy this summer and play internationally with a team of other extremely talented girls my age, thanks to EXACT Sports and the love and support of my friends, family, and my club coaches this season. My family and I are starting this GoFund Me to help pay for travel expenses, a week of accommodations, daily meals, private ground transportation, competitive games, professional training sessions, sightseeing and stadium tours, media day, fully trained liaison officers, and official EXACT Nike apparel.
