Hi! My name is Alexa Afonso and I am 19 years old. One month ago, I got diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma. As of now, I am stage 3 and will be undergoing 4 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy.

Being a healthy young adult, this came as a complete shock to me and my family. Before my diagnosis, I was working 2 jobs and going to school for nursing. I have since had to stop working, and keeping up with my financial responsibilities is now a very difficult obstacle.
