Alex Leedy Jesse Journey Toward Healing and Strength After Crash

This is a fundraiser for our amazing and kind friend, Alex Jesse, who was recently involved in a head – on collision at one of Fort Collins’ most dangerous intersections. The other driver – operating a rental car – provided no insurance information and immediately left the state, leaving Alex with no vehicle, no fault coverage, and serious injuries. Her car was completely totaled, and she was rushed to the ER with significant trauma. Alex is now facing a mountain of unexpected medical bills – all without medical insurance.

A Shining Light of Hope for a Generous and Kind Person

Alex is a single mom of two amazing teenage/college-aged kids who live with her during the summer. She’s the kind of person who always shows up – for causes that matter, volunteering for environmental/trail cleanups, for her children’s sports teams, and for helping friends in crisis. She’s stood for others her whole life. Now, it’s our turn to stand for her. Our GoFundMe initiative aims to be a ray of hope for Alex, a selfless individual who is in need of support to regain her footing - literally.

The Reality: Medical and Financial Struggle – Without Medical Insurance

Individuals who have top-tier insurance can face bankruptcy from an accident like this. Now imagine navigating this alone – with no safety net. Alex is currently medically uninsured.

After building and running her own business for over a decade, she was forced to close it due to economic pressures. Since then, she’s been looking for a full – time job. She also has been supplementing her income through various jobs – all of which she can no longer do due to her injuries.

What She’s Facing:

• ER visit + medical treatment (awaiting bill, expected to be significant)

• MRI - $2,150 to $4,260

• CT Scan (abdomen/pelvis) - $2,191 to $8,280

• X-rays - $160

• Medications & prescriptions

• Physical therapy - $150-$180 per session

• Doctor/specialty visits - $150.00-$600.00 each

• Mental healthcare - $180 per session

• Basic living expenses while she heals
