Help Alan Thompson Get a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
My name is Alan Thompson, and I am reaching out with a humble heart, asking for your support in my fight for a better quality of life.
I have a rare blood condition called Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS) https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/monoclonal-gammopathies.
My doctor at Emory said, in his 12 years at Emory, he has only seen five or six cases. This rare condition has resulted in chronic Kidney Disease stage 5 requiring a Kidney Kidney Transplant (www.emorylivingdonor.org), and my doctors have told me that a transplant is my only hope for a healthier future.
The journey ahead is—physically, emotionally, and financially challenging. Between medical bills, pending transplant surgery, post-operative care, necessary medications, and being medically retired, the expenses are and will be an enormous financial strain. That’s why I’m asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how small, will assist with the ongoing expences and treatment needed.
Your generosity will not only help me cover these critical expenses, but also give me the chance to continue living, loving, and making memories with those I cherish. If you’re unable to donate, I would be so grateful if you could share my story with others who might be able to help or possibly consider being a kidney donor.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers. Together, we can make this possible.
With gratitude,
Alan Thompson
