Join Aisha in Constructing Epilepsy Center

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aisha Saeed, please join me in raising funds for finishing the construction of the National Epilepsy Center of Karachi, Pakistan. More than 2.2 million people in Pakistan have epilepsy. Often people are not aware of what epilepsy is and therefore, do not take action when they see someone having a seizure. Our mission is to help educate people about the crisis of epilepsy and inform people what epilepsy is. Our goal is to raise enough money to finish the construction of our facility to provide patients with enough space. Epilepsy is a neurological condition where the brain is disturbed, causing seizures. The National Epilepsy Centre is the flagship project of the Neurology Research and Patient Welfare Fund (NRPWF), a registered NGO under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance 1961.
Please spread the word, and help patients with epilepsy have access to the facilities and assistance that they need to cope with their seizures. There is a consistent stigma associated with epilepsy which creates one of the most serious challenges for people in Pakistan. Misconceptions and fear often lead to discrimination, social barriers, and barriers to education and employment. Many people with epilepsy express feelings of being misunderstood or humiliated, which makes them reluctant to seek treatment or disclose their illness to others. That is why we need to raise awareness for epilepsy in Pakistan and raise funds to help provide people with epilepsy the support that they need, socially and medically.
