Help Aidan Fight Papillary Thyroid Cancer

Meet Aidan Matejov, a bright and spirited 14- year-old boy who is currently battling papillary thyroid cancer. This journey began 9/1/24 after an incidental finding by doctors during a visit to urgent care for suspected appendicitis. Aidan has shown incredible strength and positivity through every challenge so far.

Aidan loves playing and watching all sports especially, volleyball, basketball and baseball. He also enjoys playing video games, spending time with his friends and family and making people smile. Unfortunately, after a biopsy and further testing, he was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer and doctors are confident it is the Diffuse sclerosising variant (a rare more aggressive sub variant of PTC).

He underwent a total thyroidectomy and bilateral neck dissection removing all cancer in his neck area on 10/1/24 and now faces radioactive iodine therapy to address the cancer that spread to his lungs, which brings its own set of challenges physically and emotionally.

The financial burden of treatment is heavy. Medical bills, travel costs, and the potential loss of income for Aidan’s family add up quickly.Your support will help cover these expenses.
