Hello,

We are Ahmed and Heba, a young couple from Gaza who have faced unimaginable challenges over the past year. Our story is one of love, resilience, and hope, but also one of loss and hardship.

Before the war, we were building a life full of dreams and possibilities. We were excitedly preparing our new apartment, carefully selecting every piece to make it a home—a sanctuary filled with love and warmth. Those were days of hope and excitement, where the future felt bright, and our biggest worries were about what colors to paint the walls or which curtains to hang.

But everything changed when the war began. In an instant, all that we had worked for was destroyed. Our apartment, our belongings, and our dreams were reduced to rubble. The life we had envisioned disappeared before our eyes.

Yet, amidst the devastation, we found strength in each other. After a year of war, with nothing left but our love and determination, we got married in a tent. It wasn’t the wedding we had dreamed of, but it was a celebration of our survival, our bond, and our refusal to give up.

Now, we are living on the other side of Gaza, still in a tent, trying to rebuild our lives from nothing. Every day is a challenge, but we are grateful to have each other and to still hold onto hope.

We are reaching out to you because we cannot do this alone. We dream of rebuilding our future—a safe home where we can start over, a place to create new memories, and the opportunity to work toward a better life.
