We started Abbey’s Army for someone who means the world to us — an incredible mom, devoted wife, loyal friend, and irreplaceable part of our team. Earlier this year, Abbey was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer — an aggressive and unexpected diagnosis that shook us all. But in true Abbey fashion, she faced it head-on with unwavering strength, fierce determination, and grace that continues to inspire us every single day. Even when afraid, she never backed down. Cancer picked the wrong mama.
Abbey is the heart of her family — a hands-on, deeply devoted mom to three amazing boys. She shows up for them in every way imaginable — cheering them on at meets, nurturing their dreams, and fully present for both the big milestones and the quiet, everyday moments. Her love is tireless, her energy boundless, and her strength rooted in the kind of motherly love that never wavers. Her boys are her world, and through every doctor’s appointment and treatment, her focus remains on being there for them — fully, fiercely, and without pause.
Abbey is a fighter. She’s the kind of person you’d drop everything for — because you know she’d do the same for you. And now, it’s our turn to show up for her. That’s why we created Abbey’s Army — to walk beside her, behind her, and with her, every step of the way.
The butterfly, a symbol of transformation, resilience, and hope, represents Abbey’s journey. As the saying goes, “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.” We walk to honor Abbey — her courage, her beauty, her fight, and the powerful light she brings into all of our lives.
