Joie and her family for medical and life expenses

Joie Schaffer is 42yrs old with 4 children and life partner Sam. She's had pain in her stomach and her entire body over the past 6 months. They have told her she's constipated and were trying to check her for intestinal issues, but they couldnt get it scheduled until late February. Friday, after they went out to dinner she got very sharp pain in her stomach area so they went to the emergency room. A CT scan showed a mass on her pancreas, liver, and nodes on her lungs. Due to the weekend they have been waiting at the hospital for the biopsy, which we will get done today January 23rd. The doctors can't say for certain on anything until they get the official biopsy. They have a 5 year old daughter at home and 3 other children along with taking care of her elderly mother. Joie is a very positive, happy, selfless person that would do anything for anyone and needs all the prayers and support she can get right now.

Update. Joie was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has metastasized to her liver. Due to it spreading and the location of it, surgery is not an option. She will start chemo treatments right away at methodist in Des Moines. Please keep Joie and her family in your thoughts and prayers at this time.
