In 2021, Johny underwent a serious spinal surgery and rebuild, the second such surgery in his life. After over two years of rehabilitation, physical therapy, and recovery, some elements of that surgery have failed. In order to remedy the issues, he must now undergo significant surgery involving his spinal column and surrounding musculature. There will be another long recovery ahead. As many are aware, Johny is a beautiful soul and wonderful human. His kind spirit and generosity continue to shine and touch us all. For years, he has served as volunteer bookkeeper for the San Francisco Insight Meditation Community, as well as Zoom host, video editor, and so much more. He also serves San Francisco’s often underrepresented and under-resourced Tenderloin community through St Anthony’s Dining Room Project as host, and has recently committed to volunteering at Maitri, accompanying folks as they transition. In this way, he helps to support so many.

We know that there are folks who would like to support Johny as he moves through this challenge. A monetary donation is one such way.
