Johnston Family in DC Devastated by Flash Flood

As many of you know, my brother, Garrett, and sister-in-law, LaMonica, live on the east coast in Alexandria, Virginia. They have their sweet daughter, Sophie who will be two in September + also just had their precious son, Everett, who is 8 weeks old. 

Earlier this week, Alexandria was devastated by a flash flood. LaMonica was home alone with baby Everett when it happened and Garrett and LaMonica's house made national news with the devastation of their house and bottom floor completely flooded within minutes. Their cars are both totaled and many of their possessions ruined. 

As you can imagine, 2 kids under 2 (and one an infant) is already a handful, but now with the tragedy there are many other hurdles and expenses to overcome. If you have it on your heart, please contribute to their dear family. Insurance only covers certain things damaged, but won't cover, deductibles, lost wages, childcare and logistics, while trying to manage the cleanup and recovery of the home. Every little bit helps! Let's give them some sunshine in what is a very dark and hard season.
