Hello, I am Kole Johnsen. For 18 years of my life I was an active kid who led a life of sports and academics. I enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, and was excited for my future and life. When on July 2nd 2021 me and my families life was turned upside down. I had been diagnosed with Kidney Failure with no diagnosis and being left in the dark for months and I likely not be here any longer if I had waited another week to go to the doctors. I was hospitalized on July 2nd, When I had arrived at the hospital my blood pressure was 240/140 and doctors feared I could very well have a stroke, I was quickly put into the ICU and for 2 days I had slept for 38/48 hours and my family and friends didn’t know if I would make it.
Luckily through the strength of the people around me I was able to pull through and survive, however I still live with kidney failure as of now that doctors hope one day i can either recover or receive a transplant if it is needed later on
-More recently Doctors had found 2 liters of fluid around my heart which had led to complications such as thickening of heart walls and stiffening in a relatively short period of time. that had been undiscovered for months as-well with no history as to where it came from. This has led to my heart being stressed and overworked causing palpitations as-well that I still have.
-This fight has been extremely tough for both me and my family. I would be very grateful for any donations to perhaps take my family on a vacation or do things with the time I missed with this unlucky circumstance. I am also still attending college online to keep up with my studies.
-any generosity would be appreciated and I would also keep you good Samaritans updated on what I would use the fund for. Even if you do not have the funds to donate please share this around if you believe in both my recovery and this fund.
