Johns Second Leukemia Battle and Transplant
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
My name is Jean (John) Cordero. In 2021 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I went through 6 months of chemo and entered into remission. In June 2022 I received a bone marrow transplant. I was able to remain cancer free until November of 2023. In November, I was experiencing severe back pain and headaches. After many trips to the emergency room, my doctor decided to do a spinal tap. That spinal tap showed no infections but instead Leukemia in my spinal fluid. My medical team came up with a new plan and we started treatment right away. Treatment consist of spinal chemo and regular port chemo. I under went several procedures. Unfortunately during this time fluid enter my lungs, I became sick and my kidneys started to shut down. I went on kidney dialysis for (number of days) and was observed under ICU supervision. Finally, I was transferred back to Leukemia floor, and began fighting cancer again. This second fight has made me physically weak, has impacted me emotionally and mentally. It has taken a toll on my immediate family who take turns caring for me, transporting me back and forth to all of my appointments. We never lost hope and our prayer has always been for me to gain strength and healing. God is my best doctor and his healing hands have always been providing me with the best treatment. Gods wisdom has always been the best guidance for my medical team. Gods strength has always been with my family. I kindly ask if you could continue to pray for me and my family for healing and comfort. If you are able and feel led, I’d greatly appreciate a monetary donation to help with continued medical care expenses, transportation, and bills. Blessings to you and thank you for being with me on this journey.
