John’s medical expenses and family expenses

Update as of 07/29/022:

John has had a tracheostomy and feeding tube inserted this past week.  He is currently in the process of being transferred to a facility within the next week.  The social worker is working with my parents to get him to The Woodlands, Texas.  The process has several steps get him to Texas in regards to transport and the facilities being set up for him.  If it takes more time, he will be moved to a facility in Peoria, Illinois.  

My parents have reported he opens his eyes when they speak and appears to be swallowing.

John was in Illinois for work when he fell ill with a headache. He went to the emergency room where they gave him pain medication. He asked for additional help to get back home, so my parents drove up to help. Upon arrival they found him lying on the hotel room floor. Once transported to the hospital, they discovered he went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA). His glucose is now under control and waiting to have an MRI to find brain function. His heart, kidney and liver took a hard hit from being without a heart beat for 20 or more minutes.

Hotel stays and food have been part of unexpected expenses for family members. Also, the medical expenses being in ICU are going to be extensive. Any help to ease the financial expenses are greatly appreciated.
