John's Leukemia Battle Needs Your Support
Donation protected
I'm raising funds to help support my sister and brother-in-law as they navigate the challenges of life with John's recent diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was diagnosed in April and spent almost a month in the hospital receiving chemotherapy.
He is continuing to receive chemotherapy treatments in preparation for a bone marrow transplant. This process will most likely occur later this summer and will require John to be hospitalized for another month. After his hospital stay he will need to stay near the hospital for 60 plus days with 24 hour a day care, 7 days a week.
My sister, Angie, wants to be the person to stay with him while he is in the cities. She wants to be able to support him during his time in the hospital and take care of him afterwards.
Unfortunately John has been unable to work since April and Angie runs a home daycare center. The children she cares for will be cared for by a friend and her revenue stream will be mostly lost. There are a lot of unknowns since when John does come home with a weakened immune system being in a house with kids isn't ideal. But her plan is to start up doing daycare as soon as possible.
They need your help in raising funds so they can afford to have Angie be the one to stay with John during this difficult time. Their bills will continue to accumulate but the money coming in to pay for them will be minimal. This is why we need to rely on your generosity.
Both Ang and John have given their gifts of time, friendship and service to numerous other people and now they are in the position where they need you. Please help us make this unbearably difficult time easier by donating as much as you can to their cause.
With much appreciation and gratitude,
Sue
