John's Legacy: Support for Shelly and Kids

We lost my brother in law John Turner on Saturday 5/24. Though he had some health issues, this was definitely an unexpected and devastating loss for his wife Shelly and his five children Aurora, McKenzie, Grace, Owen and Sammy,

Words can not describe the impact John had on all our lives and the hole he leaves behind will never be filled.

He was the love of Shelly’s life, a father to five amazing kids, an awesome uncle who was there for all his nieces and nephew. He was even a supportive and loving bother in law for me, a woman who stopped being “a sister in law” years ago, yet he never made me feel like I was anything other than his sister.

The next few months will be a hard transition as one can imagine. Juggling end of life costs, funeral expenses, loss of work, the emotional toll of becoming a singular parent and you can get a small glimpse as to what Shelly is facing. Her family has been a HUGE help and she knows that all of us closest to her will continue to be there for her. But for those of you asking what else you can do and how you can help, this is an option we would like to open up. Any and all help is appreciated and will go a long way in helping Shelly and the kids navigate this hard time.
