John's Journey to Recovery: Overcoming Amputation

Well, as some of you know, and others might not... The year of 2023 was a very rough year for me. It started in Feb. 2023, and I was in the hospital for the entire year. My diabetes really took over, and led to serious problems with my legs. I got an infection in my left leg, and ended up with part of my left needing to be amputated, resulting in a major lifestyle change.

I am currently back in the area, living on my own, working with UW Hospital for a prosthetic leg, as I want to walk again and return to work. As you may have guessed, the medical expenses are very stressful along with the ups and downs of everyday life. However, I believe attitude is everything, and you just got to keep pushing, so with that being said, I would be grateful for any help you might be able to extend to me. Take care of yourself, and keep moving forward the best you can. Thank you in advance... John
