Hello, my name is Amanda and I have a dear friend who would never ask for any help himself, but could sure use it right now.

A couple of weeks ago, John suffered a heart attack and has not been able to go to work. Last Friday, he had another procedure to unblock an artery, and it was successful! When I took him to his appointment, I realized there are also some mechanical repairs that need to take place on his car.

I know he's going to start stressing about money and will push himself to work. He is such a bright light in his local community. His job is being so understanding and allowing him to take the time he needs to heal, but the stress of survival in this world is not going to help his situation any, especially once the bills from the hospital start rolling in. Hence the reason for this fundraiser. Everything goes to John. I want him to feel free to recover at his own pace and be able to get his car repaired.

I also see this as a great way for those who have been touched by his light to give back to him in a way that will help him thrive.
