John’s Biggest Fight
Donation protected
John Thielmann is a brother, uncle, friend, teacher, history buff, baseball enthusiast, union brother, civil war reenactment member….and most importantly a man who stands for what is right and just. When he walks into a room he fills it with his robust presence - or maybe his booming voice which can usually be heard storytelling.
As of late, John has been quietly fighting from his hospital bed to rid his body of pneumonia. Everyone who knows John, knows this is uncharacteristic of him, to lay quietly. During this time of healing, we would like to be his voice.
John is never one to sit still, as
he can usually be found in the halls of MPS school buildings while kids are murmuring “yes! Mr. T is our sub today!” Or telling enthusiastic fans at Brewers games (possibly his tipsy nieces) to get out of the aisles and get to your seat. Or marching through the battlefield of the “civil war” fighting for freedom. Or speaking up to the school board at meetings for equality and living wages for himself and all the very needed teachers and substitutes serving the students of MPS.
As John is uncharacteristically laying quiet, his personal responsibilities are not. Hospital stays are expensive, especially in the ICU where he has been for the past 6 days, not to mention day to day bills like rent, utilities and more are piling up.
Our goal with this campaign is to lighten his load so when he is able to focus on wellness and rehab he will not have to play catch up while he will be out of work recuperating.
John has been a pillar of strength fighting his entire life for all things that are good-let‘s carry him and help him with this fight!
