John Rush's Memorial Fund

John J. Rush a retired Saint Petersburg Police Officer that retired in 2005, served in multiple facets in the agency including Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene Investigations, and was currently employed by the 6th District Medical Examiner Officer was shot and killed on Saturday Night around 11pm. John was also a Sargent and known to many as JJ.
There is currently an open investigation in John’s death.
John was a long time active member with FOP lodge 43. John leaves behind his daughter Meghan Rush and many loving family members. The unexpected death of John has been an emotional roller coaster for our family. We are all proud of John’s service and we always greatly appreciate the day to day sacrifices that our men and women in uniform make just like John has.
We ask that if anyone knew John, please feel free to send your condolences to our family as we mourn the tragic loss of this one of kind person.
We would be humbly grateful if anyone wishes to donate proceeds to assist the immediate family in preparing funeral arrangements in a celebration of John’s life.
