I’m writing this from a place I never imagined I’d be… but here I am.

Our family has always believed in generosity, community, and showing up for each other. We’ve lived it, taught it, and built our lives around it. We give because we believe giving transforms people. And sometimes, though it’s the hardest part, we have to stand on the other side and allow others to give to us.

Receiving can be one of the most challenging acts of faith… and also one of the most beautiful.

Six months ago, my brother Johnny began having seizures. Three months later, doctors found a tumor in his brain. Two weeks ago, he underwent emergency surgery. The diagnosis confirmed what we feared: a tumor that changed the course of our lives overnight.

None of this was expected. And because Johnny didn’t have insurance, the medical bills have quickly become overwhelming for our family.

I chose to take responsibility for his care, not out of obligation, but out of love. He’s my brother. And it is one of the greatest honors of my life to pour into him the way so many people have poured into me.

I know it may sound unusual to say this on a GoFundMe page, but I truly believe we will get through this. I believe in God’s provision, in miracles, and in the power of community. I believe Johnny will be fully healthy again.

But I also know we cannot walk this journey alone. Community has always been at the center of everything we do, and today, more than ever, we’re leaning into that truth.

The Bible says,

“Two are better than one… if either of them falls, one can help the other up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 . And today, we’re choosing to stand together, to lean on each other, and to receive help when we need it most.

If you know me, you know my heart: generosity, unity, faith, and fighting for the people you love. Today, I’m asking you to help me fight for Johnny.

Every donation, every prayer, every share carries weight. It lifts a burden. It brings hope. It reminds us we’re not alone.

Estoy escribiendo esto desde un lugar en el que nunca imaginé estar… pero aquí estoy.

Mi familia siempre ha creído en la generosidad, en la comunidad y en estar presentes los unos para los otros. Lo hemos vivido, lo hemos enseñado y hemos construido nuestra vida alrededor de ello. Damos porque creemos que dar transforma. Y a veces, aunque es la parte más difícil, tenemos que pararnos al otro lado y permitir que otros nos den a nosotros.

Recibir puede ser uno de los actos de fe más desafiantes… y también uno de los más hermosos.

Hace seis meses, mi hermano Johnny comenzó a tener convulsiones. Tres meses después, los doctores encontraron un tumor en su cerebro. Hace dos semanas tuvo que someterse a una cirugía de emergencia. El diagnóstico confirmó lo que temíamos: un tumor que cambió el rumbo de nuestras vidas de un día para otro.

Nada de esto lo esperábamos. Y como Johnny no tenía seguro médico, las cuentas se han vuelto abrumadoras para nuestra familia.

Elegí hacerme responsable de su cuidado, no por obligación, sino por amor. Es mi hermano. Y es uno de los mayores honores de mi vida poder sembrar en él como tantas personas han sembrado en mí.

Sé que puede sonar inusual decir esto en una página de GoFundMe, pero realmente creo que vamos a salir adelante. Creo en la provisión de Dios, en los milagros y en el poder de la comunidad. Creo que veremos a Johnny completamente sano nuevamente.

Pero también sé que no podemos caminar este proceso solos. La comunidad siempre ha estado en el centro de todo lo que hacemos… y hoy, más que nunca, nos apoyamos en esa verdad.

La Biblia dice:

“Mejores son dos que uno… porque si uno cae, el otro lo levanta. Eclesiastés 4:9–10

Y hoy elegimos mantenernos unidos, apoyarnos y recibir ayuda cuando más la necesitamos.

Si me conoces, conoces mi corazón: generosidad, unidad, fe y pelear por las personas que amas. Hoy, te pido que me ayudes a pelear por Johnny.

Cada donación, cada oración, cada vez que compartes esto tiene peso. Quita una carga. Trae esperanza. Nos recuerda que no estamos solos.

Gracias, de verdad, desde lo más profundo de mi corazón, por estar con nosotros, por amarnos y por ser la comunidad en la que siempre hemos creído.
