Safety Officer Johnnie Poandl, a volenteer firefighter with over 25 years saving lives of those in the his community. Has been lost in the ocean since 7-6-2016 after leaving the boat for a swim with a friend on vacation. Due to unforseen circumstances were the wind picked up a blew boat from beyond his ability to reach it he was left clinging to a crab pot bouy 3 1/2 miles from shore. When rescuers reached the area to rescuse him they only were able to find his friend still clinging to a crab pot bouy. After rescuing his friend the search contuined to foucs on finding Johnnie. Johnnie is an outstanding member of society, dedicating his life to leaving the dinner table and saving a life. An amazing husband to his wife that he had been with from school age. Johnnie and his wife were inseparable, doing everything together. A love that most couples only dream of. He is a father to a set of twin girls that rely on there fathers guidance and support for thier daily lives. There is no one that has meet johnnie that he wouldnt have gave his shirt off his back to. Johnnie was the soul supporter of his family working for NC department of corrections. His family needs help while paicently waiting for their husband and father to be found.
