Johnny's Story:

How and Why did this happen?
What would you do?

At 13 years old my son was an itelligiant boy, very active and loved to play sports, he had a bright future with plans to join our military like his older brother who we're proud of.  We were not thinking our whole lives would be changed forever.
Now at age 19 my son is a shadow of himself 6 years of excruciating abdominal pain, nausea, panic attacks, and hospital trips have left my son and I physically and emotionally drained.
The first couple of years sick, Hundreds of Doctors, Hospitalized and Clinics.....Years of tests first diagnosed with acid reflux, hiatal hernia, esophagus stomach ulcers and panic attacks.  He became sicker every month.  Finally a diagnosis of Chronic Pancreatitis.  This is so rare for a young boy to have that it took years to diagnosis.  The Doctors do not know why he has this terrible disease, where it came from or what to do to help my son Johnny. Doctors saying to me he is a "Mystery Sick Kid."
Johnny has been being treated at Vanderbuilt Medical Center for the past couple years with doctors referring him of dier need to go to a Pancrease Specialist Clinic at "John Hopkins in Baltimore,  Maryland."  While we are relieved to have a diagnosis, the cause and cure for Johnny is still unknown.   So my son remains in great physical and mental anguish awaiting answers.
I have health problems of my own and as my health diteriates,  We continue fighting Johnnys mysterious disease.  I'm by his side daily and we will keep fighting, hoping and praying for help.  As we try to stay strong he is in Gods hands.  We are in need of outside help.  I have been raising my son alone and don't know what to do anymore.  I can not afford to keep traveling to the hospital and all the different doctors.  My old vehicle will not allow us to travel much more on those long distances.  I can not afford all his medications monthly.
We are asking for any donations to help with the traveling expenses to the Pancreatis Specialists.  We need help to equip our home with handicapped facilities.  NO CONTRIBUTION IS TO SMALL....
Johnny was a normal boy growing up like every other boy.  This disease has taken everything from us and we need some hope.  We pray with your support we will reach our goal and Johnny will get the help he needs and I will be able to make him more comfortable while he continues being strong and fighting so hard he has a very long journey ahead.
I know there are some wonderful people with big hearts in our world and if anyone can, Please help we would be so grateful.
THANK YOU FOR READING JOHNNY'S STORY and GOD BLESS!!
