- Hey everyone I’m Johnny I’m a C6 incomplete quad, I was in a motorcycle wreck July 12,2015 and broke my neck and severed my spinal cord leaving me paralyzed from the chest down. I was in the hospital for 8 months before getting released to a nursing home to recover. I got out April 2017 and went to stay with my cousin for a while then I got a pressure sore because I didn’t have the right wheelchair or cushions to sit on, and ended up having surgery Aug 2019. I went back to the nursing home after surgery and stayed until May 2020.
- Now I’m out staying with my best friend trying to get the money to get a new wheelchair from Box Chairs and a standing frame. They are hand made chairs built right here in my home state of Texas. They are everyday chairs with suspension on them, built to tackle anything and everything. I’d really like to be able to get it with everything I want. As for the standing frame I want this wheelchair that stands but a regular standing frame will also work. Being that I’ve already had surgery on my leg from a pressure sore I’m more at risk to get it again so I need the standing frame to help get me out of my chair during the day. Anything left over will go towards therapy because my insurance won’t cove anymore because I have a chronic problem. Thank you for you help on getting my dream chair. Much love and god bless.
