Hi, my name is Lani Roark i am 19 years old and I am the daughter of Johnny Wayne Roark, who passed on December 9th, 2023. He leaves behind myself, Michelle Roark, John Roark (Son), Chelsey Roark (daughter), Shelby Roark (daughter) Hendon Roark (Grandson (along with so many other family and friends).
Our family has been dealt a tremendous blow as my father was the life of the party in our family. Recently in November of 2023 he was diagnosed with Melanoma. He had surgery to have it removed and it was successful his cancer was removed and his lymph nodes came back negative for cancer. There was no spread! But recently due to the gut wrenching stress that cancer causes to the body his heart began to weaken.
My dad was a strong man, he survived war he survived several accidents whether it be helicopter, forklift, or car , and essentially he survived melanoma (cancer of the skin). He’s had a history of heart disease and he had survived three heart attacks before his last incident. On December 7th my dad was complaining of shortness of breath and what I would later figure out was chest pains. Like I said he is strong and would go to the ER for nothing. They found that he had a block carotid artery and observed him through the night and sent him home the next morning on the 8th. Little did I know he had another major blockage in his heart that was irreversible. And on December 9th around 3-5 am, he went to be with God.
In no way do I like asking for money or hand outs. But under these circumstances I felt like I should at least try. I want to help my Mom and we are all so very stressed at the moment due to our unexpected loss.
