Hey everyone, for those who don’t know me my name is Bridey, and I’m reaching out to support someone very close to our community.

Three days ago, Elsie and her sister Tannah unexpectedly lost their father, Johnny. It’s a heartbreaking time, and she is now facing the emotional and financial burden of laying him to rest.

Elsie has been a big part of my life, as well as the Tweed Coast Raiders club and our wider community for many years. She’s always been someone who shows up for others, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Elsie has also lived in her family home her whole life, surrounded by her dad, pop, and uncle. It’s a place filled with memories, and like many in our community, it would be incredibly hard to see her lose that as well during such a difficult time.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and burial costs, easing some of the pressure during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much and go directly toward giving Johnny the farewell he deserves.
