My name is Amy Slaughter Owens and I'm the 2nd VP of the Middle TN Code Officials Association. I have set up this fundraiser to help our board member (Treasurer) Johnny Morris. Johnny Morris is also the building Official for the City of Portland TN. A few months ago Johnny was hospitalized due to complication from Covid 19. He has been on a ventilator in the hospital for 8 weeks and lost about 70 pounds. He has recently been moved to a long term health care facility. Johnny is able to speak some and his health is improving daily. We don't know when Johnny will be able to return to work. Johnny's wife Marie drives an hour and a half each way everyday to visit him after work. This fundraiser will hopefully relieve some of the financial burden. We ask for everyone to keep Johnny and his family in your prayers.
