Hello friends and family!  Never thought I would have to begin a fundraiser for someone so close to me, especially for Johnny and his fight with colon cancer.  On 11/13, Johnny shared the news with me that none of us ever want to hear.... the "C" word.  His biggest concern was his kids, Dawn and his mom.  I took him to dinner that night and then to my parents house to discuss Johnny's concerns and so he could ask my dad questions regarding how he overcame colon cancer with having part of his colon removed 18 years ago.  Johnny went home that night a little more relieved with fighting this horrible disease, but was still anxious about how he was going to provide for his children and Dawn while he wasn't working, especially if it lasted longer than expected.  

All of us know that Johnny would do anything for any of us.  He has been there for so many of us, whether it has been emotionally, physically or financially and it is now our turn to help support him and his family.  With loss of income during this time and with the additional expenses from medical bills, anything is appreciated and will help.  
Wednesday December 2nd is the big day.  Johnny will have approx 12-14 inches of his colon removed and a biopsy will also be done.  Dawn and I will keep everyone posted through Facebook as much as possible to limit the amount of calls and messages her and Johnny receive while in recovery.  No extra visitors due to COVID.
