Johnny Kreis Williams Liver Cancer Fund

Hi, my name is Audrey Williams. I am the wife of Johnny Williams for the past 34 years.

I wanted to reach out and let you know that I'm fundraising to help Johnny pay for his

medical bills, home health aide when I'm working, everyday living expenses, and home

repairs. In addition, we need to plan funeral arrangements.

 

On Sunday 6/19/22 Father's Day, Johnny was admitted to Baptist Hospital in Miami,

with Hepatic Encephalopathy due to Liver Cancer and Diabetes. He was taken to the

ICU where he was given many medications and treatments to improve his state of mind.

He is progressing slowly, his mind is clearing some, but he has a long road to try and

function somewhat independently.

 

Johnny has been sick with Liver Cancer for almost 2 years now. Losing a lot of weight

and feeling very fatigued. He has endured Chemotherapy and Radiation therapy. I am a

nurse at Baptist Hospital and have taken a family medical leave to care for him. I need to

return to work, we need the money for his medical expenses, a home aid, everyday bills,

and some repairs to our home so Johnny can be comfortable in his last few months.

 

Back in March 2022, Johnny developed a Tumor Thrombus near the right side of his heart.
A very dangerous procedure which he made it through. Post-op developed a PE

(Pulmonary Emboli) and was started on a Heparin Drip, which is very risky for Johnny due

to his low platelet count and high risk for bleeding. He recovered and came home.

Johnny has had many procedures done on his liver, Tipps Procedure with multiple

revisions. A Y90 procedure, radiation seeds implant, and ablation of the liver for the

tumors.

 

 

Just some of Johnny’s accomplishments:

 

Johnny graduated from Southwest High School in Miami in 1971. He will always be a Southwest Eagle.

- He was Athlete of the Year in 1971 in Miami Dade County.

- 2 Time Wrestling Champ – Undefeated

- Star Football – Running Back

- Johnny attended the University of Miami – Hurricanes 1971-1974

- Johnny earned a Business Degree and owned the business “Pampered Plants”

- Earned a Fire Fighter Certificate

- Earned his Real Estate License

- Worked in management at Restaurants

 

Per Johnny, his greatest accomplishment is our four children, two boys and two girls.

Johnny Jr., Nicholas, Jennifer, and Heather mean the world to us.

 

 

It has come to that point with Johnny’s Diagnosis of Liver Cancer, that we realized we need help from our community. I’m reaching out to whoever can help Johnny Williams and his family as we try to get through this most difficult and trying time in our lives.

 

All funds will go to pay the medical bills and any shortfall in living expenses if there is extended time off work required for me to care for Johnny.

 

With everything Johnny has gone through, he has had a Guardian Angel looking out for him. Johnny and I have our faith.
