Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Janine (a former long-time Altadena resident currently residing in Monrovia) and Johnny Tea is not only a colleague at Matador Performance Center in Pasadena but he is our cherished friend. If you’ve ever been to MPC, you know that we are a close-knit group of trainers who are family and have a one-of-a-kind community there.

On Tuesday, January 7th, our friend and colleague Johnny and his two children, Jacob (8) and Jolie (5) lost their Altadena home in the devastating Eaton Fire. In mere moments, their cherished home, belongings, and countless irreplaceable memories was reduced to ashes.

Johnny is a devoted father who has always done everything to provide a safe and loving environment and home for his adorable children They’ve all shown incredible strength through this ordeal, but starting over from scratch is a monumental challenge.

This fundraiser is to help Johnny and his children recover and create a cushion to make them whole again. All funds raised will go directly to Johnny for securing housing, replacing essential items, and giving them the stability they need to recover from so much loss. 

Our goal is $50,000 and every single contribution—no matter the size—makes an immense difference and is greatly appreciated. 

Recovery after such an unimaginable loss is a long road, and this support will not only help them meet their immediate needs but also provide the foundation to start over. 

Together, we can help Johnny, Jacob, and Jolie find hope, healing, and a path forward.
