Honoring My Father — Supporting Men’s Mental Health

On August 1st, it will be three years since I lost my father to suicide. He was the strongest man I knew — resilient, dependable, and full of love. But behind that strength was pain I never fully understood until it was too late.

His passing opened my eyes to a harsh truth: men’s mental health is often overlooked, minimized, or hidden behind a mask of toughness. Like so many others, my dad lived with trauma and internal struggles that were never fully seen — not because he was weak, but because society teaches men to suffer in silence.

In his memory, I’m raising $1,000 to donate to HeadsUpGuys, an incredible organization that provides resources, support, and hope to men battling depression and anxiety. Every dollar will go toward helping men know they’re not alone — and that it’s okay to speak up and get help.

This donation will be made in my father’s name, on the anniversary of his passing, as a way to honor his life and help others who may be silently fighting similar battles.
