Help Johnny Bsullak Go To Nationals USASA Colorado

Hi Everyone, my name is Johnny Bsullak and I have qualified for the National Championship this year USASA this April 7-14 in Colorado at Copper Mountain. I am 15 years old, live in Poland, Maine and transitioned to skiing 3 years ago from snowboarding. I have been snowboarding and skiing on the farm and mountains around Maine for 5 years and started competing last year on Rails and Slopestyle in Maine. During the pandemic I built a backyard rail park in our backyard to be able practice year-round, we found a free 23-foot rail from a family whose kids did the same thing and have since moved to Utah to ski the big mountains for work. I also saved money and bought a very sturdy trampoline to practice tricks daily after school and weekends and mastered my flips this summer - a huge accomplishment for me.

This year, I joined USASA Maine Mountain Series to compete around Maine this winter. I am excited that I made Regionals and now Nationals. I work hard on our family farm, run cross country, play baseball, mentor younger runners, and volunteer with my family donating farm surplus to organizations that serve meals to lend a hand up during our harvest. Of all sports, skiing is a place where I feel free flying over jumps and doing tricks and we meet each other at different mountains and help each other to get better. Sports for me all become like a second family, always a positive place to grow and support each other, push myself, and push each other to be better.
