Johnnie (my children's father) needs our help!

I haven't really made this public because Johnnie is a very proudful person and does not like anyone feeling sorry for him or having to ask for help. The background to his story is last year he was diagnosed with heart failure. The medicine to get the fluids off of his heart caused him to go in to kidney failure. On top of that, for a man who doesn't drink, he now has cirrhosis of the liver. Early this year he developed a diabetic ulcer on his foot that caused him to have two toes amputated and has now started going blind. It is like one thing after another. He was on short term disability but that ran out. We have applied for SSDI for him but anyone that has been in that system, you know how long that takes to get approval so we are still waiting on that to come through. The final hard blow came yesterday. This man has worked so very hard his whole life and it has killed him to not be able to work and he found out yesterday that he was being terminated and not only that, they cancelled his health insurance effective April 30, 2019. They did not notify him of this verbally or in writing so he had eye surgery on the eye they are trying to save on May 3 (after insurance had been cancelled without us having any knowledge so he is going to have a nice chunk of a bill for that). At this time, I am applying for everything I know I can to try to help him as this man truly truly does not deserve to be going through all of this and it is like he just gets used to one bad news and then it just keeps trickling down with more bad news. He has no money left in his account to help pay his utilities and rent, let alone food and I am calling places today to apply for what he will need but in the interim, I thought of this as I have seen it help so many people. He does not know I am doing this as, like I said, he is a very proudful man, and hates to ask for help. I am doing this to try to help ease the worries of my children as well has help him meet his needs until the services we are applying for kick in. If you are able to donate, it would be so very much appreciated. And if you can't afford to donate, if you could just please say a prayer for him and our children as he tries to get used to this new part of his life. On a side note, I am not exaggerating when I say how hard of a working man he has been his entire life and to see how the system treats you when your body fails you, it is a total shame. I won't get on that rant. Again, if you can find it in your heart to donate, I would greatly appreciate it and please please say a prayer for his health and well-being as he transitions in to what life has dealt him. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and God bless!
