Johnnie and Cash plus 11
Donation protected
Johnnie and Cash are large/giant (100 lbs +) mixed breeds of some sort. They were living in a car, where Johnnie gave birth to 15 puppies. 4 of the 15 puppies did not survive. The rest of the family came to Wendy when the babies were just a few days old, right before Christmas.
Wendy WAS fostering the entire family for the past few months. They've faced numerous issues. Cash is heartworm positive. Johnnie had Mastitis then she and all of the puppies came down with Parvo. Mom and puppies are now better but Dad will need to continue heartworm treatment. The puppies need another round of booster shots and they need their spay/neuter surgeries soon. Ideally, giant breed puppies also need a gastropexy performed at the time of spay/neuter as well to reduce the risk of bloat in the future.
Wendy and the rescue group have unfortunately parted ways and Wendy will need to pay for all of these expenses (plus the ongoing cost of food for 13 dogs) out of pocket before she can adopt the puppies out.
Any help is very much appreciated.
