Johnney Roye is a World Champion Thai Boxer, holder of 3 British belts, intercontinental and European belts, a true legend of the sport. A Manchester-born fighter who earned global respect through his grit, discipline, and heart. Beyond the ring, he built JR Gym, where he has mentored countless young people — teaching them not only how to fight, but how to believe in themselves, stay disciplined, and walk a better path in life.
The Challenge He Faces
Ten years ago, Johnney was diagnosed with Type 3 Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a cruel and progressive condition that has robbed him of his mobility and independence. Once able to dominate in the ring, he now battles simply to walk and live day to day. Yet even in this fight, Johnney’s spirit remains unbroken.
