Hardest working man in Homer Glen

It's not that often one meets someone like John LaRoy.  We all have our days where we do something nice for another, but ALL of John's days are dedicated to helping people - and he geniunely cares.  He makes each and every one of us feel like the most important customer that walks into Jewel in Homer Glen.  It wasn't until John Flemming's post on Sunday about "The hardest working man in Homer Glen" though that I realized how many people want to thank him and give back.  John is a man that always greets you with a smile, wipes down a cart and has it waiting for you at the entrance, compliments the "pretty ladies", helps you unload groceries into your car, and loves to converse about sports, your kiddos and the opportunity that Jewel has given him. Based on all the comments from Flemming's post, John is a man who has touched our community with his friendly and positive demeanor and dedication to helping make our lives easier while we shop.  And now is our chance to say thank you to this wonderful, kind hearted man that we all feel so blessed to know.  Many people in our community expressed interest in doing something special for John LaRoy.  His family said he loves going on vacation, so let's give him one from all of us!  Maybe he will even get to see a Sox game on the road!  Wherever he chooses to go, he will know just how much his community appreciates him.
