I, am John "Hairy" Hanson. On August 20th, 2015, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Although, this diagnosis was a game changer for my life, I have never lost hope or the will to fight. Thanks to my incredible family, friends, and medical team, I have come a long way. 
Through the loving care of Bellin oncology, I was able to complete the most intensive chemo and radiation on the market with the hopes of having surgery to completely remove my tumor and cancer. In January, I MADE IT! We scheduled a date for surgery, Feb 10th, 2016.  Unfortunately, when I was opened for surgery, there was a spot found and removed from my liver but my surgeon was not comfortable with removing the tumor at that time. I knew going in that if another spot was found surgery would not be complete. Although, this was not my plan my hopes are still high and I plan to beat this. 
After much research and again the support of my family, friends, and medical team I have choosen to complete alternative cancer treatments. This treatment regiment includes detox, rebuilding my immune system, and making my body an environment in which cancer can not survive. While doing this, I will also have a very strict diet.This treament is not covered by Medicare or insurance. 
I am creating this page, not to beg you for money, but to give you an avenue to support me if you are able and choose to. This treatment can be quite expensive and every little bit helps. All funds raised will go toward my treament bills. 
I would not be where I am today if it weren't for the loving and generous people in my life. All support and prayers are appreciated. I am ready to show cancer who's boss and beat this thing.
