Homegoing of Johnetta Arnold AKA Pippi, Bacon, Pizzole Guis

Donation protected

My sister, Jonetta Arnold AKA Pippi, Bjo, Pizzole Guis, and of course Bacon, passed away on July 5th 2024.
She was born 3 years after my brother ,John Lee, who was born physically and mentally disabled. She was born deaf and mentally disabled as well. Her ear drums worked, but the nerves that connected them didn't work.
I'm the middle "normal" child (whatever that is).

HER LIFE:
When my sister was born, she was born extremely white with flaming red hair (like little orphan Annie), and blue eyes to two black parents. So, we called her Bacon so she would fry up... and she did.

We grew Up in Covina, California where I was known as Bacon's sister. She knew everyone in the neighborhood and found ways to communicate. Although she was deaf, she never let that stop her. She cared greatly for the people and kids in the neighborhood. She would pretend to do magic and would "heal" them in her own way. Her imagination was uncomparable to that of others, which made her awesome!

She attended John Tracy Clinic in L.A., Mesa elementary in Covina, and then Riverside School for the Deaf. She could not hear or talk like some other deaf people. However, If you ever became friend you were always her friend. She would give you the shirt off her back.
All she ever wanted in life was to be with all of her family and to have a family of her own. She never bore children due to being RH- so she was unable to carry for herself.

So instead she traveled her way. If there was a Deaf EXPO she would find a way to get there even with no money. Weather, she traveled in the states or roamed around Mexico. The one place that she wanted to go and never gotta chance to was Italy. Hence the Pizzloe Guis name. She loved the culture and the food.
And what would always watch movies in italian .
She knew how to have fun and somehow always get something for free.
One time she took my eldest daughter Ruth, when she was 3, to a Deaf event in Pasadena and could not get back home to Rialto. So she called the cops and they actually brought the all the way back home!!!!

WHAT HAPPENDED?
My sister was given medicine, Lisinopril (a medicine which kills us at 8x more than the unmelenated), for her blood pressure, which caused her tounge to swell, then her throat, then her face. They got the swelling down. They kept her in ICU, the doc said he was more focused on the swelling staying down and not to worry about the BP. I spoke to her on the video relay after the doc; she stressed that she was fine and was ready to go home. She showed the previously swollen areas and how they had gone down. I explained that the doctor said she had to stay just one more night. This was tuesday.

On Wednesday morning at 430 The doctor called me and told me that her Blood Pressure had gone through the roof. I figured it was no huge deal. They would get it under control and went back to sleep.
I went to work and at 8:30 my mom called me in tears. She said the doctor called her and told her that my sister had a massive brain bleed.
By the time I got to the hospital. They said the results we're so bad that there was nothing they could do. The brain surgeons at other hospitals said the same thing. My sister was gone for no reason.

How she had high blood pressure, I will never know. She ate so many vegetables stayed away from pork and most red meat and ate fish all the time. So how she had it I don't know.

WHY WE NEED HELP
My mother always kept Life Insurance for both my brother and sister. As well as for herself, as she was always in and out of the hospital as well as I was growing up (She's a Cancer/Lupus survivor). After her divorce, it was harder to keep up with the payments, so she lost the original life insurance she had. Once she was back on her feet, she got Life Insurance for both my brother and sister. They told her she had to wait until they turned 45 years old due to their disabilities. Then would have to wait two years before it would be available for payment.
Unfortunately, both my brother and my sister died at 46 before they could reach 47 years old, when the Life Insurance would pay. So here we are 3 years later after my brothers' passing trying to raise money for my sisters services.

Due to the amount of time that's passed she will be creamated. My sister donated her organs to save others.

We also will need a sign language interpreter for 6 to 7 hours, food, programs, costs for church services, repass, and food. If you cannot donate money please donate resources.
Other ways to donate are on my Facebook page.
