I am so excited to have the opportunity to move to New Mexico and attend New Mexico State University to get my PhD.  However, I am need of money to move from LA to Las Cruces.  I have spent the last 10 years working on getting my Master's Degree.  I started in community college and have done very well.

This alone is not a big deal.  This happens everyday. This is my story:

I served in the United States Navy in Submarines. While in service I sero-converted to HIV+.  This month on May 28th will be 29 years HIV positive.  I spent to long believing I was going to die.  I was not living.  I also became addicted to Drugs and ended up homeless.  11 years ago.  I found sobriety and have been on this path to live the rest of my life.  Which I now see as a gift.

I volunteer many hours for many not for profit organizations.  I have raised almost 17k for one of them alone.  Now I need help!!

Please help me take advantage of this opportunity and help me get my PhD in Psychology.  I have plans to do so much good with my degree.  I am not getting it to make money but to facilitate change.

I currently am an adjunct Professor at California State University Los Angeles and although the title is prestigious the pay is not.  This money will be used to rent the truck, pay the deposit on housing, and other cost for the move.  I am not getting the services of movers I am doing it all myself. 

Please help me live this last part of my dream so that I can begin the next part of the next dream.
