Hello,
My name is Torey Ostlund, and I'm trying to raise money for a colleague and friend, John Deckert. He is smart, funny, and insanely musically talented person. He grew up on a dairy farm in Henning, MN, and after his high school graduation he attended Alexandria Technical College and Majored in Hotel/Motel Restaurant Management. From there he moved to Fargo. For the past 19 years, he has been employed at the Fargo Country Club as the Chef De Cuisine. Unfortunately this past December he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He has gone through 3 months of painful chemo and radiation (all while still showing up to work on time and never complaining, because that’s just the type of person he is), and has just finished his first major surgery to try and rid the cancer. With this surgery it’s going to require him to take a leave of absence from work and I can only imagine the massive amount of medical bills that pile up, so I'm reaching out to anyone who has the ability to help. This money will go towards helping John out with medical bills, house payments, and just everyday living expenses. For those who don't personally know John, he is the type of person that would give you anything and everything to help you in your time of need. Whether it is big or small John would figure out a way to help. Helping him out means everything to me and his family. We can't express how truly thankful we are for any type of support. Thank you!
