John Chaney: Chasing Greatness
This fundraiser will help me to continue my professional golf career!
The generosity and support on this page is amazing and I am so grateful.
Thank you for listening to my story!
Hello!
I am John Chaney, professional golfer from Cleveland, Ohio. I now make my home in Estero, Florida - for the weather of course.
I fell in love with golf at age 2. In the backyard I practiced my swing!
At Wittenberg University, I was a 2x All-American and 2x All-American Scholar.
I graduated in 2015 with a double major in Marketing Management and Sport Management.

Background:
In college my results and statistics improved each year. I won four times at Wittenberg, including the 2013 Gordin Classic with a final round 68(-4).

During my senior season I took on more responsibility and my scores dropped. I was team captain and we finished a program-best 3rd at NCAA championship.
In the final year at Wittenberg my scoring average led the team (73.36), and finished top-20 in the country. 40% of my rounds were par or better.
I was the NCAC Conference medalist by 7 shots, and finished 7th at the 2015 NCAA Championship.

Other highlights include shooting 65 (-6) in the 2nd round of the 2014 Saguaro Amateur in Mericopa, AZ and a T-8 finish at the 2014 Northern Amateur.
