For all those who knew our dad, you knew what kind of man he was. For those who didn't know our dad, he was an extremely dedicated and hard working man who constantly gave to others before himself. He was such a wonderful father who loved us dearly.
Near the end of 2014 my dad had a stroke which put him at Rancho Los Amigos for over two months while he recovered from almost full body paralysis. Unfortunately his health continued to decline over the next three years even with his new perspective on life and changing hard habits to regain his health. He passed away very suddenly this morning, January 13th, leaving behind nothing for funeral costs, legal fees, or to take care of the family. (**Edit** I am pleased to say that our accountant Fred Maidenberg has offered to help me with the small business and family tax items pro bono, so these are charges we will not be incurring. We were also able to sell a few personal items which has allowed to lower the donation goal significantly).
I would like to ask in lieu of flowers to please donate to the fund to help with the mounting costs left behind. Thank so you so much for your thoughts and prayers. It is a loss not only to my family, but to the hundreds of lives my father touched.
I am working to compile memories to remember my father fondly please do not hesitate to add yours if you knew my father.
Megan - "He called me Mega-N! He created a Super Hero name for me, and would 'fly' me around the room. For Halloween, my birthday, he would spend hours working on my costumes. I will always remember the dedicated dad who doted on me endlessly."
Danielle - "We would stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning playing Galaga and listened to 80's music; which was how we spent our times on the weekends. He felt that no kid should be alone on the weekends."
Johnny - "My dad and I stayed up late one night working on my costume for a book report. He helped me make a Carrion costume from the book Abarat, and it scared this kid at school. It was great!"
