Our family’s world changed on Friday, March 6, 2026. That morning, Johnathan wasn’t feeling well and had some unusual bruising and petechiae, so he went to CHOP King of Prussia to be checked out. After evaluation there, he was transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia later that same day. After testing and further evaluation, Johnathan was diagnosed with leukemia. Johnathan is currently in the PICU at CHOP where he has already begun chemotherapy. He is also receiving dialysis for now while his kidneys adjust to the chemotherapy. His medical team is monitoring him closely, and we are incredibly grateful that he is receiving such excellent care. Over the next several days, we will be meeting with Johnathan’s oncology team to learn more about his long-term treatment plan and what the road ahead will look like. Johnathan’s siblings—Danny, Haileah, and Audree—know that their brother is very sick but that he is in good hands. They are currently staying with their Aunt Britainie, Uncle Drew, and their cousin Lucas. They miss him deeply and are looking forward to the day they can visit him. As our family focuses on supporting Johnathan through treatment and spending as much time as possible by his side, we know there will be many unexpected expenses and time away from work. This fundraiser is being created to help ease some of the financial burden so the focus can remain where it belongs—on Johnathan’s fight and recovery.
