John Whiting's Recovery
Donation protected
Our story begins on January 16, 2019 at around 6:30 in the morning. John's heart stopped working and he crashed his car into a house across the street from our high school in Mishawaka, IN. An angel of a nurse performed CPR and the paramedics took John to the hospital. He was placed on a breathing machine and treated in the ICU.

John will have a long recovery ahead. The doctors say that the electricity in part of his heart shut off, causing his heart to stop beating. He will likely need a pacemaker to make sure this doesn't happen again. He will be in the hospital for awhile to get strong enough for the surgery and for awhile after to make sure it works.
John is 30 years old. He is our baby brother, the only boy. When he was a toddler, he had two open heart surgeries to repair holes in the lining of his heart. He was embarrassed of those scars for the longest time, even wearing a shirt to the pool. They have since become badges of honor. Brother graduated from Mishawaka High School with honors in 2007. Most recently, he became a daddy to baby Zemira in September of 2018.

Brother is the sole provider for his little family. All donated funds will go towards his medical bills and also to care for his baby girl. Please, if you are reading this, consider helping, as every penny counts. If you are unable to donate, we ask that you pray for John, for a quick and complete recovery and also for Nicole, the nurse that God sent to save him, that she may continue to use her knowledge and skills to give aid and comfort to others.
Thank you all,
Julie and Jessica
